The Middle East conflict entered its most dangerous phase yet. According to the Israeli defence ministry, some 200 fighter jets were deployed, with air strikes mainly targeting nuclear, military and strategic installations. Over 20 senior military leaders were killed in the offensive, as well as several key scientists from the nuclear program.
