THE ITALIAN GOVERNMENT DISCUSSED THE MATTER OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IN TUNESIA

Szabolcs Janik, the deputy director of the Migration Research Institute, said on M1 TV that the EU and its Member States have strove for a cooperation with North African countries to curb illegal migration for decades. Tunisia is a key player in this perspective since it has become an increasingly important country of origin in addition to its traditional role as a transit country.
