LEBANON’S POLITICAL ELITE CONSISTS OF THE SAME FACTIONS FOUGHT EACH OTHER IN THE CIVIL WAR

Bianka Speidl, senior researcher at the Migration Research Institute told Kossuth Radio regarding the situation in Lebanon: the local political elite consists of the same factions that fought each other in the Civil War. Thus, instead of the interests of the Lebanese people, the interests of foreign sponsors and their local clients prevail.
