International migration summit in Szeged

The tenth anniversary of the 2015 migration crisis was commemorated in Szeged by MCC and Migration Research Institute’s international forum co-organized for immigration researchers and experts. The Hungarian decision to close the border was met with fierce criticism at the time, but today more and more countries recognize that border protection is an essential element of security policy. At the Szeged conference, it was repeatedly emphasized that the experiences of the past decade have confirmed the correctness of the Hungarian position.
