According to European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex) statistics, irregular migration on the Western Balkans route decreased significantly. A main endpoint of the route is the Serbia-Hungary border, one of the priority entry points to the European Union as a Schengen external border. Our analysis looks at current illegal migration flows, drawing on both statistical data and local experiences.
