Migration has become an important social and political issue over the last five years, and one which is capable of generating serious debates within and across member states. The level of interest in the topic and the strength of related concerns are shown by the fact that the issue of immigration remained in the TOP 3 of the EUROBAROMETER 2020 summer survey, even during the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
